KrubKa Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 August 2026
KrubKa ("we", "us") is a translation service that translates messages between English and Thai through the LINE messaging platform, with a companion mobile app. This policy explains what data we handle and why.
Data we collect
- LINE profile basics. Your LINE user ID and display name, provided by LINE when you interact with the KrubKa bot.
- Messages. Text messages and images you send to the bot in a 1:1 chat, and text messages sent in group chats the bot has been added to. We store message text and generated translations to operate the service. Image bytes are processed temporarily and discarded; we retain the resulting explanation, not the image itself.
- App account. If you sign in to the KrubKa app, we receive the account identifier and, when supplied by the provider, your name or verified email address from Apple, Google, or email sign-in.
- Subscription status. If you subscribe, Apple and our subscription provider (RevenueCat) tell us whether your subscription is active. We never see your payment details — payment is handled entirely by Apple.
- Usage data. Translation counts (used for monthly quotas) and technical logs needed to keep the service running.
How we use it
- To translate your messages. Message content is sent to third-party AI service providers to produce the translation.
- To operate free-tier quotas and subscriptions.
- To keep the service secure and diagnose problems.
We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.
Group chats
When the KrubKa bot is added to a LINE group, text messages sent in that group are processed for translation. Anyone in the group can pause this at any time by typing /pause in the chat, and resume it with /resume. Removing the bot from the group stops all processing.
Who we share data with
- LINE — the messaging platform the bot runs on.
- AI service providers — receive message content to produce translations.
- RevenueCat and Apple — subscription management and billing.
- Infrastructure providers — hosting for our servers and database.
Retention and deletion
We keep account, message, translation, usage, and operational records while you use the service. You can delete your account in the app. This immediately removes the account and data authored by LINE identities linked to it, and queues deletion of the corresponding RevenueCat customer record. Deleting the account does not cancel an Apple subscription; subscriptions must be cancelled separately in App Store settings. Service providers may retain limited records where required by their contracts, security duties, or applicable law.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it at any time by contacting us.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page and the date above.
